Rare Cancers Australia was founded out of the fundamental principles of equity, fairness and compassion. When someone is dealt the bad luck of a rare or less common cancer diagnosis, they should have equitable experiences and outcomes compared to someone diagnosed with a common cancer.
We exist to redefine cancer support so no one is left behind or feels alone. Everyone is given the best possible chance to live beyond cancer.
The patient guides all that we do. We are in service to their wellbeing, and frequently return to the question, “Where is the patient in this?” in our decision-making, program development and policy work.
